Shared note | James: This one: 1874 Jun 11 Martha Lovelock, aged 59 could be Martha nee Yeates, who married David Lovelock on 2 Sep 1839 at Pewsey Robert Sterry: Agreed. Graham Lovelock: I sort of go for this one too, but I wonder why I couldn't find her in the 1861 or 1871 Census Returns? Mind you, I do not know where she was in 1851, but since two of her children were buried (in Burbage) in May 1851 from the Pewsey Workhouse it's a pretty safe bet she was there. I think it was Ken Gigg who suggested to me that Martha Yeates was the Martha Lovelock buried on 15 Jun 1858 in Netheravon, but I do not recall off the top of my head what evidence he had for that. Note added 29-May-09: In fact, it now seems likely that the above identification was incorrect, and that Martha nee Yeates died 15 Jun 1858, after her second marriage to Henry Keele in 1855. The 1874 burial in question has since been identified as that of Martha Ann Lovelock (nee Kent) in the Wroughton-Tidcombe tree. |
