22nd June 1850 McPherson and Cribbes Alexander, Engine driver, residing with his Mother in Big Lochunds Close Canongate, and Jessie Cribbes, residing with her Father James Cribbes, Railway Porter, Berwickshire, gave up their names for proclamation of Marriage Certified by Mr John Christie, one of the Elders of this Parish. The above named Parties were three times regularly Proclaimed in the Parish Church on Sabbath the 23rd and no objections being offered they were Married on the 5th July by the Revd. Andrew R. Bounar, Minister of this Parish.
