Footstone [still there in 1994] W L 1815 K L 1824 H L ___ [Note: Kitty Lovelock who died Dec 2 [1824] is the wife of William George Lovelock who died [22 Dec] 1845 NOT 1815. The H L who died 3 Jan ___ aged 77 is presumeably Hannah Gibbs who was buried at St Marys Wallingford 31 Jan 1867 aged 77.]

On 10 August 1850 William purchased land at Garsington ( about 2 miles south of Wheatley ) from Mr Stephen & Mrs Miriam Hall for £14. The document mentions that William married Mary in November 1834.

On 17 July 1861 William sold the land and two cottages he had built on the site to F J Morrell esq for £130. [Email John Lovelock 22.1.2002]
