Note | An item in 'The Barrier Miner' newspaper for 20 Sep 1950 reads: MAN SHOT IN GROIN The Civil Ambulance went seven miles past Cockburn yesterday afternoon for a patient who had been wounded in the groin by a rifle bullet. The man, Alton Eulie Lovelock, was admitted to the Hospital about 7:30 p.m., four hours after the ambulance had received the call. Two nurses accompanied Mr. T. Stokes, chief ambulance officer, on the trip. It is believed that Lovelock was wounded by a .303 calibre rifle bullet while shooting on a station. He was with two other men. |
