| Note | Walter's place of birth in the 1881 census is mangled but it all resolved because I was looking for Girder and found a link to Lovelock not the other way around. Walter in the 1871 census is described as 22 years old (by ancestry.co.uk) living with his grandparents David and Mary Ann Girdler when his age should be 12. |
