The Ashton can be read clearly and the other West is not so clear but this is how we read it. I do not know if there is a place of this name. Marriage to Thomas Frank WICKS is shown as 18 September 1877. Trowbridge Wiltshire England. Every time I try to check this date I come up with 29 September 1878 in Melksham Wiltshire. On Laura Ann WICKS Birth Certificate Martha's age is given as 21 years. email reply James Loveluck 18-Nov-06: There is indeed a West Ashton in Wiltshire, and it's only a few kms away from Trowbridge! So again this would indicate that there is another Martha Lovelock born about 1860 whose father was (perhaps) James Lovelock. |
