Marriage | 5/05 RL I'm not absolutely sure that this is my Great Aunt's husband/marriage - even if Eliza was my Great Aunt 'Queen' (see general note to William Oliver Lovelock), but it fits with other info. I have. |
Census | 58 Tranton Road, Bermondsey, London, England RG13 393 F116 P51 Henry TAYLOR;Head;29;Bricklayer;Rochester, Kent Eliza TAYLOR;Wife;27;;Watchfield, Berks 19/4/05 RL Having verbal info. from my Uncle Basil (Lovelock) that Great Aunt 'Queen' spent her married life in London, and having found a likely marriage registered in Medway in 1897, I located an Eliza Taylor in Bermondsey aged 27. Of 9 possible Henry Taylors in Bermondsey, one was aged 29 and born in Rochester, and therefore a likely candidate. 20/5/05 Located what I believe to be the appropriate entry in 1901 Census On-Line. |
Occupation | 'Bricklayer' from 1901 Census On-Line entry. 5/05 Basil recalls that Harry worked at the Tower of London pre-retirement. |
Census | 175 Rotherhithe New Road, Bermondsey, London, England RG14 PN1928 RG78 PN68 RD24 SD3 ED15 SN86 Henry TAYLOR;Head;40;Bricklayer;Rochester, Kent Eliza TAYLOR;Wife;37;;Watchfield, Berks |
Shared note | 5/05 RL I'm not absolutely sure that this is the husband of my Great Aunt Queen (see general note to William Oliver Lovelock) - if indeed Eliza was the relevant Pocock sister. I recently (18/5/05) spotted Eliza Taylor as a witness (along with Kate Berrett) to William Oliver L's second marriage, then found an Eliza Pocock/Henry Taylor marriage in Kent (Medway) in 1897. |
