Notes by John Dixon:

Said in the biography of John Davies to be descended from the Moravian Bishop John Gambold (a friend of the Wesleys), and consequently of William Gambold, both were Church of England vicars and academics.

Biography in Welsh in British Museum. John Dixon has a copy. This refers to his detailed accounts of his travels on horseback ministering, which may survive somewhere.

Descended from Jane Davies of Jamaica, and other Flintshire mariners.
