| Shared note | It seems likely that she was still alive and living in Baglan in 1802, when her grandson Francis COLE was baptised in the parish, so her daughter Mary probably had the baby at her mother's home? As it seems almost certain that husband Rees was buried (22 Jul 1788) in Llantwit-juxta-Neath, it seems likely that Elizabeth was buried there too. There is a burial recorded in Llantwit for an Elizabeth POWELL, widow, of Cwmbronwyl [probably Cwm Brombil], Margam, aged 91, in 1821 (28 Aug) Although Elizabeth should have been 86/87 not 91 at that date, I am tempted to believe that this is her burial. |
