| Shared note | After serving in the army during the 1914-18 war, and a period at sea, Willie married Vera and they had a son Clifford - probably born in the early 1920's. Vera died in about 1940. Willie (or Bill as he seems to have been called by his brothers) moved to Guernsey and established an engineering business. He remarried - possibly in Guernsey. His second wife was named Joyce. The business is thought to have failed in the 1960's and Willie/Bill was bankrupt and had a nervous breakdown. |
