Shared note

Father unknown. Baptised at Holy Cross as David Emmanuel Marendaz, and still appears under this name in the 1871 census, living with his mother (already married to JENKINS unknown) at Ty Draw Farm, but later appears to have adopted the surname JENKINS (that of his mother's husband), and appears in the 1901 census with this name and is subsequently buried with this name.

James Loveluck (3-Mar-07): He seems to have been recorded as David E Daniel(s) in the 1881 and 1891 censuses in the household of his grandmother Catherine Marendaz (née Jones), together with his mother Mary Ann Jenkins (née Marendaz). Note added 13-May-2010 In the 1871 census he is recorded as David Marendaz (also in the household of his grandmother Catherine, together with his mother Mary Ann Jenkins). However, he was recorded as David Jenkins in the 1901 census.
