When he was about 12, he was sent to Harrow, the famed boarding school. As a member of the school choir, he once sang a solo to an audience that included Winston Churchill, a former Harrow old boy." "Patrick Humphrie Spence-Thomas was born March 4, 1933, in Whitchurch, Wales. He died Oct. 12, 2008, in Toronto, of complications from diabetes. He was 75. He is survived by his wife, Mary. He also leaves children Richard and Emma from an earlier marriage." |
