| Shared note | William took over the running of Wickcroft Farm, Englefield on his father's death in 1893, until his marriage three years later . He then moved to Park Farm, Tilehurst, where he and wife Sarah still lived, with three children, at the time of the 1901 census. After a short, and seemingly abortive, farming venture in Canada, he and Sarah returned to Bristol. In November 1903 (at the registration of the birth of fourth child, Percy, the address was given as 495 Fishponds Road, and William's profession as Auctioneer). He later set up an Estate Agency at 768 Fishponds Road, Bristol, where the family also lived. From 1908, he was listed in a Bristol street directory, as estate Agent, sharing business premises with Reginald T.P.Bennett at 768 Fishponds Road, Bristol (probably from 1907, allowing for publication delays). Still in Wright's Directory of 1914 at that address (so, say 1913). But in the 1916 Directory he is at 14 College Road (say 1915) . He is known to have entered Bristol Mental Hospital, then known as the Bristol Lunatic Asylum, on 16 Nov 1920, nd he died there four months later: Bristol LunaticAsylum Register of Admissions Reference: 40513/R/7/4 Number in oirder of Admissions: 9527 Date of Admission: 19 Nov 1920 Date of reception Order: 15 Nov 1920 Address: 16 College Road, Fishponds, Bristol Civil State: married Reigion: Non Connform.
