When I knew them, they still had cows and chickens on the land between New Road and Hookland Road. They were both tremendously hard-working, generous people and, without children of their own, gave a great deal of affection to Lewis's family (me and my half-sister and brother). In the photographs, Arthur looks a lot like Ellen Izod. |
