In 1881
Sarah and William were servants for the rector designate of Stockbridge, in
Hampshire, but with no children. By 1891 they were in East Finsbury in
London, by which time William had reverted to just being an Army Pensioner
and Sarah was a tailoress, no family present. In 1901 Sarah was a widow,
working as a machinist of children's clothing, and living alone in Hackney
in what looks like some sort of lodging house.
