James Loveluck 8-Nov-07: Previously had Jane Lovelock (nee Dore) died 2Q 1847, corresponding to following GRO record: Death in 2Q 1847 in Portsea RD, ref 7 94 provided by Graham Lovelock in document sent by email 31-May-07.

However, Jane Lovelock appears with son William (James?) in 1861 and 1871 census records, but could not be found in 1881, so Jane probably died between 1871 and 1881. There are two GRO death records for Jane Lovelock in Hants during this period: 1Q 1875 Jane Lovelock age 85, Portsea RD 2b 325 1Q 1880 Jane Lovelock age 84 Hartley Wintney RD 2c 131 of which the first is the most likely, since Jane had lived in Portsea. It would have Jane b abt 1790, which almost fits with the recorded age of 68 in the 1861 census record. So maybe it was the 1871 record that was incorrect.
