Shared note | Had 6 children plus 5 others who died at a young age. Descendants in NSW & Q'land. Five Lovelock children are mentioned in a petition to the Victorian Education Department in November 1890 stressing the need for a school in the Gobur/Terip area. The children mentioned are Charles Alexander, aged 11, Valentine Vincent, aged 9, Martha Maud Alexandra, aged 7, Reginald Percy, aged 5 and Roberta Clare, aged 4. The school finally opened in 1892 in a room opened by Mr Fitzgerald. However, the Lovelock children only attended a short while before the family moved to Junee in 1892. |
