Death

She may have died between 1864 and 1868 having married John Smith on 7 Feb 1862 at St Paul, Kingsclere Woodlands, Hampshire. Her death is yet to be confirmed. John Smith just might be the father of Walter, he was in the local area in the 1861 census and he was born at Burghclere, Hants in ca 1837 to John and Mary Smith. After Ann's assumed death, John Smith married in 1869 in Newbury RD her younger sister Emma Girdler b ca 1850 Kingsclere and later lived near Devizes, Wilts.

GL on 27/5/19: There were 3 deaths in the Kingsclere RD between 1864 and 1868. The GRO Online Index reveals that Anne who died in 1864 was aged 41, Ann who died in 1865 was aged 25, and Ann who died in 1868 was aged 34. None of those are compatible with a birth in 1838.
