Note: Martha Lane should probably read Martha Jane, who could be an illegitimate daughter of Jane Lovelock, eldest dau of Thomas & Catherine. See transcript of letter from Jane in note associated with her entry, in which she mentions Martha Jane.

8-Jun-06 In email 8 May 06 Robin Lovelock provided a corrected transcript of the 1851 census record as follows: HO107 1844 301 17 Wootton Rivers Frog Lane Schedule 68 Catherine Lovlock [sic], Head, Widow, 63, Shoebinder, Wilts Wootton John Lovelock, Son, U, 33, Boot and Shoe Maker, Wilts Wootton Martha Jane, Grandaughter [sic], U, 17, Wilts Blackland

The birthplace of Martha doesn't fit, but it's interesting that there is a Lovelock boarder!

27-Jun-06 From Graham Lovelock, email 10-Jun-06: With respect to the 1881 Martha entry you've found below, James, I do not think this is our girl. I think she's the one born in 1833 in our St Pancras tree, and the 1861 census entry rather supports that as Martha and Henry Atkins were living with her parents at 134 Bayham St, Pancras, with children Frances aged 3 and Thomas aged 1 (which is a bit of information that could be added to the Pancras tree, whilst removing Note 21).
