Note

George arrived at Southampton aboard the 'Pretoria' on 29 June 1890, recorded as a Clerk.

He left again for the Cape on the 'Mexican' on 22 Oct 1898 with wife Rosina Eliza, daughters 'Retta' and 'Dolly', and son Henry (recorded as Mr Lovelock Junr).

George and his wife arrived back in Southampton from South Africa aboard the 'Kenilworth Castle' on 21 June 1913 and again on the 'Kinfauns Castle' on 3 July 1922.

In 1913 George was recorded as a Clerk, but in 1922 had some kind of Theatrical occupation (the second word of the entry is illegible).

George and Rosina sailed back to the Cape on 15 September 1922 following their second visit aboard the 'Armadale Castle', at which time George was recorded as a Theatrical Agent.

George James sailed again from Southampton for the Cape in 1934, having arrived in Southampton, alone, on 16 July on the 'Carnarvon Castle'.

George James sailed again from Southampton for the Cape, South Africa in 1934.
