Note

William enlisted in the Army on 13 Sep 1900 and was discharged on 21 Dec 1908. He was apparently a Musician - employed in the band during the whole of his service.

He was also in possession of 4 good conduct badges, and the India medal of 1854 with clasp for Hazara 1888.

He had served another preceding period of 12 years service undated, and became a Chelsea Pensioner on discharge.
