She may be the subject of a burial at South Wraxall on 29 May 1820, aged 32. That Mary was 'of Bradford Leigh', which is more or less the same distance (about 2 miles) from South Wraxall as Atworth, where Mary and Jacob married, is.

However, Jane received very favourable consideration in the Will of her Uncle Thomas, and it may be conjectured in consequence that the widowed Jacob had died in 1826 before his marriage to Dinah Coombs could take place (there being no surviving evidence that it did) and that Jane then lived with her Uncle and his wife.
