| Note | Esther Humphries married Edmund Collins in the Portsmouth RD in 1902, and was with her sister Annie Smedley in Southampton in the 1921 Census. In 1939 she seems to be the lady whose entry has been slightly amended to read Hester J Collins, born 31 May 1857, and described as 'Blind'. She was living in Portslade by Sea. The only GRO Death entry which seems to fit is that of Esther Collins who died on 3 Jun 1942 in the Hackney RD, aged 85, and was buried on 9 Jun 1942 in Newham Cemetery (Ancestry and DeceasedOnLine websites refer). |
