| Shared note | Eliza was clearly not the child of Stephen and Alice Lovelock as Stephen had died in 1826. It is more likely that Eliza was the illegitimate dau of Stephen and Alice's niece, Ann, and that Alice had 'adopted her'. This baptism at Swinbrook, Oxon in 1833 is probably that of Eliza. Swinbook, Oxfordshire 1833 Apr 12 Eliza d. Ann Lovelock, Stone-Lands, Single Woman Anne would then have been only abt 15 or 16. Eliza appears in the 1841 census at Brize Norton, Oxon, lodging with James and Sarah Hart, along with other children.
