WEDDINGS
DUAL CEREMONY AT HENTY
Trinity Lutheran Church, Henty, was the scene of a double wedding on Monday, February 21 at 5 p.m., the contracting parties being Elva Gertrude, second daughter of Mr and Mrs J. Klemke, of 'Hillview,' Henty, to Richard Benhard[sic], second son of Mr. and Mrs. F. W Lubke, of 'Springview,' Henty; and Alice Linda, fourth daughter of Mr and Mrs F. W. Lubke, to Victor, only son of Mr and Mrs J Klemke. The church was tastefully decorated in pink and white blooms by Mrs F. Ruhe and was filled to overflowing for the ceremony, which was perform ed by the Rev. A. J. Lohe.
Miss Elva Klemke, who was given away by her father, wore a frock of ivory satin, with a shirred bodice and high neckline, finished with a spray of orange blossom, her veil being of Brussel net, mounted an a coronet of orange blossom, kindly lent by Mrs J. Duncan. The bridesmaid was Miss Alice Klemke, sister of the bride, and the latter was preceded by a little flower girl, Elsa Stoll, niece of the bridegroom. The best man was Mr. David Lubke, brother of
the groom.
Miss Alice Lubke, who was escorted by her father, was attired in a frock of white chantilly lace, mounted on taffeta, and cut on classical lines, which fell into a graceful train. Her white tulle veil was held in place by a cornnet of orange blossom. Miss Elva Lubke was bridesmaid, and little Neville Wiese was page boy. Mr. Albert Bahr was best man and Messrs N. Bahr and Les Damschke were the ushers.
During the signing of the register, Miss Mona Ruhe sang, 'O Perfect Love' and 'The Crown.' The organist was Miss Myrtle I.ubke. The reception was held at the School of Arts, where about 70 guests were entertained by Mrs Klemke and Mrs Lubke. When leaving for the honeymoon, which was spent in Sydney and the Blue Mountains, Mrs R. B. Lubke wore a powder blue frock of delustred crepe, trimmed with eyelet embroidery, and black accessories, while Mrs V. L. Klemke wore royal blue silk with white accessories. The future home of Mr. and Mrs. R. B. Lubke will be at "Strathview," and Mr. and Mrs. V. L. Kleinke will reside at "Hillview.''
