Note: By 1861 Timothy and Sarah Schofield were at Railway Bridges, next door to Timothy's brother George. … By 1861 Timothy and Sarah Schofield were at Railway Bridges, next door to Timothy's brother George. Timothy was a Railway Labourer and Sarah was a Laundress. Living with them were all their children apart from the first John, and Timothy. Joseph, James and John were also Railway Labourers. Timothy and Sarah were still there on the 1871 census, together with their daughters Susan, who was also a laundress, and Ellen who was still at school. Their granddaughter Ruth aged 7 (daughter of Timothy) was also there.
In 1874 Timothy and Sarah Scholfield together with their daughter Ellen emigrated to Otago and Southland, New Zealand on the 'Corona'. Timothy died 14th October 1901 in Dunedin, New Zealand. Cause of death was Senile Decay, Cardiac Failure and Dropsy 6 months. At time of death Timothy was living at 14 Leith Street in Dunedin, and was a gardener. He was buried on the 16th October in the Northern Cemetery, Dunedin. He and Sarah are both buried in plot 2, Block 7 of the Northern Cemetery.
